Dr. Jane Goodall is a tireless advocate for environmental stewardship, personal action and humanitarianism. The Roots & Shoots global program emphasizes the principle that knowledge leads to compassion, which inspires action. The Roots & Shoots program encourages young people from pre-school to university level to coordinate activities locally that promote care and concern for the environment, animals and the human community. For teachers, community leaders and youth, Roots & Shoots provides the opportunity to connect globally and act globally.
